The most obvious way of creating patterns is through colour, but this can also be done through designs, shape, installation, pile height and material. Of course, applying a pattern by means of colour is the most striking way. For example, a darker/lighter colour can be used, or opposite colours to highlight contrasts in the laying pattern. Variation in installation

Nowadays, more is played with the different laying methods of modular carpet and a different laying pattern is more often created. For example, laying methods such as checkerboard, brick and random give direction to the laying pattern in various ways. Furthermore, carpet tiles and planks are ideal for zoning, where you create the idea of ​​"diverse" spaces by means of different surfaces.

Variation in pile

When you choose a carpet that only varies in height of the pile, you choose a textured carpet. In this case, the pattern remains relatively calm. This usually fits in interiors that have a more sleek look. There are also carpets that combine the cut pile and loop pile. It ensures that different pile heights are created. In addition to the fact that there is a difference in height between the different fibres, a different structure will also arise. The cut pile pieces will have a softer, velvety look, where the loop pile pieces will look a bit shorter and tighter.
