We recommend our Tarkett adhesive Embond 170 or Tarkospray. Please contact our customer service for more information.

Tarkett wood, vinyl and linoleum flooring can all be installed over underfloor heating.  The guideline for linoleum and vinyl is that it cannot exceed 27ºc on the surface in contact with the back of the vinyl or adhesive layer.  With wood it cannot exceed 27ºc on the top of the wood flooring. Laminate flooring is suitable for installation on top of underfloor heating systems provided that the heating element is embedded into concrete or any other sub floor. Laminate flooring is not suitable for installation on top of any underfloor heating foil installed directly on concrete or any other sub floor unless otherwise specified by the underfloor heating manufacturer. Laminate flooring surface temperature should never exceed 28°C.

Vinyl and linoleum can be glued to a chipboard subfloor if it is untreated. However, chipboard is generally treated or weatherproofed making adhesion nearly impossible. Please contact our customer service if you require further advice on what adhesives work best with a chipboard subfloor.

Vinyl floors are totally adapted for installation in bathrooms and restrooms. However, we do not recommend installing smooth vinyl in toilets. Instead, choose a vinyl floor with a secure grip to prevent slipping. Our Safetred Ion Contrast/Linen, Ceramic, Natural, Spectrum, Universal, Wood and Granit Safe T are all excellent choices.

We do not recommend to install iD products (luxury vinyl tiles) in bathrooms and restrooms because of the insufficient degree of slip resistance to meet regulatory standards.

It depends on the type of vinyl you are installing. Please contact our customer service for further advice.
