A truly British safety floor solution
Going back to where it all began in the late 1970s, pioneering British company Marley Flooring launched the first Safetred floor, what many fondly remember as Safetred Aqua. With a unique construction, that included cork, the floor was a flexible wet room solution, perfect for coving and installing into drains and falls.
Now part of the Tarkett family and wanting to pay homage to this wet room collection that was retired some years ago, the team started working on a new solution: a practical, multifunctional, and hard-wearing safety floor, that could blend seamlessly into any space, no matter the style. A collection of serene tones inspired by the UK's craggy coastlines, sandy beaches, misty mountains, babbling brooks and starry nights, came together to form Safetred Serenity.
Not just a wet room solution, Safetred Serenity is suitable for both barefoot and shod application with its R11 anti-slip rating. Simple, adhesive-free installation in dry conditions, means it not only reduces environmental impact but also saves on installation time.
Ticking all the boxes, not only does it benefit from an outstanding heritage, impeccable eco-credentials from UK manufacturing, it also offers designers a myriad of opportunities for creative exploration.
