Tarkett has been named a finalist in two categories for the 2024 Mix Awards. Tarkett was shortlisted for both Product of the Year (Flooring) and Manufacturer of the Year, underscoring our commitment to design excellence, sustainability, and outstanding service.

DESSO AirMaster®, notable for its sustainable nature, has earned its place in the finals for the Product of the Year (Flooring) award. Our DESSO EcoBase® backing, an essential component of the DESSO AirMaster® carpet tiles, has undergone a significant upgrade. A new bio-based ingredient replaces a core component previously derived from petroleum-based materials. This upgrade is a substantial step in Tarkett’s circular economy efforts, as the carpet tiles can now be separated and recycled more easily when they reach the end of their useful life.
Our commitment to sustainability and ethical manufacturing practices, guided by Tarkett Human-Conscious Design®, has also earned us a spot as a finalist for the Manufacturer of the Year award. In 2023, we sourced 154,000 tonnes of recycled content, helping to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions by 188,000 tonnes. Additionally, we have made strides in the use of renewable energy, with 44% of our total energy consumption now coming from renewable sources, and 13 of our production sites switching to 100% renewable electricity.
The Mix Awards are renowned for recognising the best new products and innovations in the commercial design industry, and Tarkett's selection as a finalist in both categories reinforces our position as a leader in sustainable and high-performance flooring solutions.
