Tarkett Named Finalist for SBID International Design Award

02nd August 2024

Tarkett is proud to announce that its new and improved DESSO AirMaster® collection has been recognised as a finalist in the Product Design – Flooring & Floor Coverings category at the 2024 SBID International Design Awards.

"We are immensely proud to learn that our updated AirMaster collection has been selected as an SBID Award finalist," said Marco Cordeiro, Managing Director at Tarkett UK & Ireland. "This recognition reflects our commitment to innovation and excellence in design, and we remain dedicated to creating sustainable solutions that enhance both aesthetics and functionality in every space."

The DESSO AirMaster® collection stands out for its unique blend of innovation, performance, and design, aimed at enhancing health and well-being. Featuring patented technology, AirMaster carpet tiles effectively reduce fine dust in the air—four times more than standard carpets and eight times more than smooth floors. The collection is crafted from two primary components: yarn and DESSO EcoBase® backing, which can be easily separated post-use. Notably, the EcoBase backing has been enhanced with a new bio-based ingredient, marking a significant step in Tarkett’s commitment to sustainability.

With an updated palette of nine rich colours and nine elegant neutrals, the DESSO AirMaster® collection offers versatile design options. Each colour features a unique textural design, allowing for creative combinations that can serve as stunning focal points or functional zoning solutions within workplace and hospitality spaces.

The SBID International Design Awards are renowned for celebrating excellence in interior design across various categories, and Tarkett's selection as a finalist in the Product Design – Flooring & Floor Coverings category reinforces our position as a leader in sustainable and high-performance flooring solutions.

Award winners will be announced at the SBID Awards ceremony in London on Friday 1 November 2024. For more information, visit the SBID Awards website.
