Underlay for wood floors
For a floating installation – when the wooden floor is joined together without being attached to the sub floor – you should use an underlay to level the surface, optimise sound performance and increase walking comfort. Tarkett Tarkofoam II and Tarkoflex II meet all these criteria.Remember the vapour barrier!
A vapour barrier is a polythene foil that prevents humidity migration from the sub floor to the wood floor. It is applied over the entire sub floor and should be laid with an overlap of at least 200 mm. The underlay material Tarkoflex II also acts as a vapour barrier.
